Todays task for the #BEDM project was The best thing about being a grown up, and you know what I couldn't really think of anything. Growing up is no fun.
Instead I'm going to tell you where I headed on Saturday with my Daughter, she's a Brownie (I never was when young) and was invited to a huge Brownie Birthday Bash at Muncaster Castle.
We were really lucky with the weather, which was great as most the events were outside in the beautiful Castle grounds.
Each group made their own felt owl banner, this is from Maisie's group. The banners were so different and colourful, the girls all did a great job making them.
The day included adventure playgrounds, rock climbing, crafts, circus skills, singing and dancing classes, a tour of the castle, meeting some real owls, may pole dancing and having great picnics.
I'm grateful that Brownies has offered Maisie not just extra fun and skill building but also the opportunity to build relationships outside of her school environment. I know that if there's any issues at school they don't get followed onto Brownies, and it can always be a place of support and joy.
