Whatever you call yours you need to look after them.
Lesson 2 in Lottie Loves finishing school is Get fitted for a good bra.
Read her lesson guide here.
This is something I've been hiding from my whole life, and as a lady with ample busom I should have had them measured from the start, but no I just did as most do and guessed. Then children and breastfeeding came along and you need a whole different support system, and its more about getting them out quick rather than holding them in place.
Below I am wearing my oldest and what is possibly with this photographic evidence worst bras. Now in the bin.
I went round a few places in town to get fitted, some I was put off by the old ladies that served they may think my bra taste a little bright, others had no staff on them or outrageous prices tags that made me weak at the knees.
So I went back to one of my old bra haunts of my youth La Senza, I hadn't been here in ages as I could never find any bras that looked good on my post baby boo boos. But I was greeted as an old friend as I walked in and when shyly asked if I could be fitted, was treated like royalty, so Thank You Ashley my lovely fitter for the afternoon, you were very kind and brought a humorous attitude to the event, and made these possible.
Wow, I've suddenly rediscovered the BooBoos of my youth, and the best posture and confidence they bring. So that's lesson 2 done Lottie, 2 bras bought cream and electric blue, well I do like my colour.
See you for the next class, Amanda.x.
wow you look stunning......what a difference a bra can make.
ReplyDeletewhat a great post, you look fantastic and have definitely prompted me to ditch my old bras and get properly fitted and splash out of a little colour too!!!

ReplyDeleteLooking fab Amanda! x
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when I read this because it took me right back to a bra fitting experience I had a couple of years ago. I was desperately in need of a good bra (needing all the support I can get) and read in our local paper (we had just moved to this area) that the lingerie shop was having a special fitting event. Off I went. I think they cringed when I walked in the door - I could almost hear them thinking "no support, no support" and in the blink of an eye, off and into the bin went the old bra and on went the new. I'd been wearing a bra two sizes too large and two cup sizes too small. No wonder it never looked right. I felt like a million dollars. But the best part was yet to come. I walked into the kitchen at home and my husband looked at me with this puzzled look on his face - he knew I looked different but he wasn't quite sure how or why. I finally said, "How does my new bra look?" and he replied, "Wow, you look incredible!". That was the icing on the cake!
ReplyDeleteYou look incredible, too, Amanda. It's amazing what a new, properly-fitting bra can do for you!
